As a member of Frankie & The Heartstrings and Minotaurs, Mick Ross has toured the world and scored a Top 40 album in the UK charts. He also orchestrates the live performance and recordings of his own eight-piece instrumental project, Soundtracks For a B-movie.
Mick’s aggressive yet intricate guitar playing style marked him out as a highly talented musician, but it is as producer that he comes into his own, displaying his keen ear for melody, arrangement and sonic experimentation.
Since cutting his teeth working alongside Edwyn Collins, Bernard Butler (Suede, Duffy, The Libertines) & Ryan Jarman (The Cribs) he has recorded and produced the likes of Young Legionnaire, Let’s Buy Happiness, Ajimal, The Lake Poets, Tessera Skies, Lanterns on the Lake, The Neat, Mat Hunsley, Jake Houlsby & Grammy award nominee James Bay.
With an immense amount of recording knowledge gained through his years of experience, Mick shows true innovation and real passion in every project. Each recording is utterly unique, with Mick striving to capture every band at their natural best and their individuality as an artist.
